The 33cm Hatch Bamboo Shade is designed by and exclusive to The Conran Shop, honouring the versatile, renewable plant.

Intricately sun-dried and handwoven in Vietnam, the light shade boasts a double-layered structure, furthering the material’s durability and offering a unique emanation of light through its use of the longest possible bamboo nodes. Each shade fits standard EU pendants.

The custom of weaving dates back centuries, where local creations were used for everyday functionality. As one of the oldest and most reputable crafts in the world, it’s prevalent to this day, utilising hardy locally sourced materials such as straw, cane or seagrass.

Please note: Owing to the handcrafted nature of this piece, variations in size, shape and colour may occur, making each one unique. A light bulb or fixture are not supplied; however, these can be purchased separately. Dependent on the fixture size, an adapter ring may be required. The top opening measures 4.5cm in diameter.
