This round placemat is part of our Natures Shadow collection, an exploration into nature, community and craft as the life affirming things which connect us.

Hand woven by local artisans in Vietnam this unique placemat is crafted from seagrass, an aquatic plant of which fibres can be twisted into yarns and woven to create a textured and durable material.

The natural beige hue of the undyed material is complimented by dyed black yarns interwoven to create an intricate checked pattern, complimented with a cut out detail around the edge of the placemat. 

The final result is a modern and subtly textured placemat which can be easily mixed and matched with other placemats, kitchen linens and tableware from across our Abstract Charm and other collections.
