He envisioned a style that blended the decorative elegance and grace of period designs like Louis XV with a more rational, structured foundation, moving away from purely applied ornamentation.

 Beginning with the floor, Platner designed a chair that rises to embrace and support the sitter, creating a harmonious form that complements both the person seated and the surrounding space

  • Base: constructed of vertical steel rods welded to circular horizontal and edge-framing rods.
  • Nickel and 18k gold finishes are plated and polished
  • Clear plastic extrusion ring on bottom of the base for a smooth bottom surface.
